Barbering Education by Prophetic Cutz Inc.
Hands-on barbering education rooted in culture,
built on trust, and designed to take every barber somewhere real.
Every great cut begins before the clippers turn on. It begins the moment a client sits down and decides to trust you with their image, their identity, and their story.
Understanding the hair. Understanding the person. Understanding the culture behind the curl pattern. True technique begins with curiosity — not assumption.
The chair is a sacred space. What is built there — between barber and client, between apprentice and craft — lasts long after the session ends.
"The cut is the
skill.
The culture is the
calling."
KULTURE is the educational wing of Prophetic Cutz Inc. — a training space created for barbers who have been overlooked, undertaught, and underrepresented in professional grooming education.
For too long, the standard curriculum left out the textures, the techniques, and the cultural intelligence required to truly serve Black and diverse communities. KULTURE was built to close that gap.
We don't just teach how to cut hair. We teach barbers how to carry themselves — in the chair, behind the chair, and beyond it.
Read this slowly. If you feel seen somewhere in here — this programme was built with you in mind.
You learned in the basement, the backyard, the bedroom mirror at midnight. You're not bad. You might even be great. But there's a distance between what your hands can do and what your eye can see — and you've never had anyone close it for you.
The mannequins didn't look like your clients. The techniques didn't touch the textures that come through your chair. You left with a certificate and a gap. You're not looking for another classroom. You're looking for a room that was built for you.
Your friends, your cousins, your neighbours — they all sit in your chair. They all tell you that you should be charging. You believe them, but something is holding you back. A credential. A structure. Someone who shows you this is real and you are ready.
You've been behind the chair for years. Some cuts are perfect. Others aren't, and you can't always explain why. Nobody ever broke it down for you properly. You're not starting from scratch — you're filling in what was never taught.
A career. A reputation. Something you can pass on. You're not just trying to get better at fades. You're trying to become the kind of barber people drive across the city for. The kind who walks into a room and commands respect before they pick up a clipper.
If you read any of that and felt it — you're exactly who we built this for. The seat has your name on it. The question is whether you're ready to claim it.
You're not learning from a curriculum. You're learning from barbers who have lived this — and chose to come back and teach it.
Mika aka Meek has been behind the chair for over two decades — building a reputation that goes far beyond clean cuts. As co-founder of Prophetic Cutz, he built something rare: a shop that actually reflects the community it serves. In the KULTURE room, he brings that same intention to every session. Meek doesn't just teach technique. He teaches presence. How to carry yourself. How to read a room before you ever pick up a clipper. How to make every person in your chair feel like the only person that matters. He is the reason this programme exists, and he shows up for every cohort like it's the only one.

Jude aka HistoryMaker has been behind the chair for over two decades — and in every one of those years, he's been building something bigger than a clientele. Precision personified, where others see a haircut, Jude sees a system: every step intentional, every angle considered, every outcome earned. He brings an obsessive curiosity to the craft and a genuine hunger to share it. Tech-forward, community-minded, and deeply invested in the people he teaches, Jude shows apprentices not just what to do with their tools — but how to think with them. His sessions are equal parts masterclass and mentorship. He asks the questions most instructors skip, and he doesn't move on until the room is ready.

Book a Group"I've been cutting for four years on my own. I thought I knew what I was doing. KULTURE showed me what I was missing — and it wasn't technique. It was how I was thinking about the craft. The way they teach you to approach the chair changed everything. I left with more confidence in one day than I'd built in four years."
"I tried traditional barber school twice. Both times I felt like they were teaching hair that didn't look like mine, to clients that didn't look like me. KULTURE was the first time I felt like I belonged in the room. By session two of the Series, I was doing cuts I didn't think I was ready for."
"After my first cut post-Series, the client looked in the mirror and didn't say anything. He just nodded. That nod told me everything I needed to know. This programme didn't just teach me to cut — it taught me to read people. That's the real difference."
